Description

Discover our harbour’s best kept secrets and take a stroll or dip at one of Sydney’s most idyllic, uninhabited beaches ... home to a resident colony of penguins.

You’ll see all the iconic harbour sights, learn first-hand about our colourful history and culture, see waterfront mansions of the ‘rich and famous’, visit a national park beach and colonial settlement, and finish with trip to Watsons Bay, one of Sydney’s most picturesque harbourside fishing villages, with breath-taking views of the city skyline and Pacific Ocean.

The tour includes a local guide/host and a delicious afternoon tea. Tours run from Monday to Saturday departing Darling Harbour at 1.30pm and returning at 4.30pm.

You'll get to see all the classic harbour sights, and visit some beautiful beaches for a stroll or swim.

Your knowledgeable local guide will tell you little-known facts about iconic harbourside landmarks, historical sites and opulent homes, and you may even catch a glimpse of a penguin as we land the boat right on a secluded National Parks beach, home to Sydney’s only resident colony of Little penguins. You can stroll on the beach or go for a swim (if you bring your swimming gear - we supply towels).

We also visit an historic, colonial settlement at Quarantine Station on Nth Head, where you can explore the station and enjoy a yummy morning or afternoon tea, depending on which tour you choose (am or pm).

On our final beach landing at Watsons Bay, you’ll have the chance to see the open Pacific from the dramatic cliffs at The Gap, or you can just chill-out and enjoy this picturesque and quaint fishing village, park and wharf.

On the boat cruise you’ll see:

Darling Harbour & Barangaroo
Sydney Harbour Bridge
Sydney Opera House
Garden Island Naval Base
Fort Denison & Kirribilli House
Point Piper waterfront mansions
Rose Bay & Double Bay

Tour Highlights:

  • Beach landing at idyllic Store Beach, accessible by boat
  • Explore historic, colonial Quarantine Station and museum
  • Visit Watsons Bay with short walk to the Pacific cliffs
  • Cruise past Sydney’s famous architectural landmarks
  • Marvel at multi-million dollar waterfront homes
  • Enjoy delicious afternoon or morning tea and refreshments

Your boat:
Beach Explorer – a comfortable open-top boat that seats 16 guests and can drop you right onto the beach. It’s 8.5m with wi-fi, an enclosed toilet and some shading.

What to bring:
Camera, hat & sunglasses, swimming attire if you want to swim (towels supplied).  Jumper or jacket (it can get chilly on the water).  Casual shoes or sandals (no heels), because we walk on the beach.
